New Fitness Gear

Hello everyone!

Long time no post.  It has been a stressful week, mostly because I was getting ready to get my wisdom teeth removed, which happened on Thursday early in the morning.  The actually procedure was nothing, I was totally out for it. The recovery has been slow going and painful.  I had to stop taking the hard pain relievers because it was just hurting my stomach :(  I can endure the pain with ibuprofen, so no big deal. I look like a chipmunk with food in its mouth.  Sorry for the ugly picture above, but my boy cat has been extremely sweet and cuddly and K has been taking care of me very well.  Chester never does that. I mean literally never voluntarily just sleeps like that on me.  For the first day he didn’t want to leave my side. I’m tearing up thinking about it now. What a sweet, perceptive animal.  I love these two boys so much. What an awful picture otherwise haha.

Anyway, back on topic.  I haven’t really been exercising a lot lately. I think because I overdid it once and got sick feeling, so I stopped for weeks. Now that I’m recovering from this procedure, I really don’t wanna exercise, mostly because it could cause bleeding at the surgery site.  Prior to all this, I was given the opportunity to try the next three products for free in exchange for my honest review and opinion.

Inspired Fitness Gear Speed Jumprope 

I want to emphasize that this is not your child’s jumprope.  This is definitely for adults. It is FAST, hence speed rope.

Quality/Materials

This is a very high quality jumprope. I have another jumprope for exercising that I bought from Walmart a few years ago, which is basically just a regular jumprope. This jumprope, however, is very high quality.  It is made from wire cable covered in a plastic tubing.  The rope turns on ball bearings, which I found really unique.  It is very lightweight and easy to use, if you give yourself enough room.

My Experience and Opinion

This is definitely a high quality jump rope and will last awhile and through much use.  I definitely recommend using it outdoors or in a place with lots of room and out of the way of ceiling lights. I think because it is so lightweight that it is great for getting a good, quick cardio exercise.  My wrists are weak, so the quick turning ball bearings are great for me.  Take it slow and steady and don’t overdo it!  I’ve definitely tripped a few times, probably because I’m clumsy and haven’t used a jumprope all that often and in awhile.  Overall, great quality and 5/5!

Material/Quality 

This towel is microfiber and lightweight. It is really easy wash! If you’ve ever used microfiber towels for anything before, you know that they wash and dry really well and hold up nicely.  I got the grey and pink option.

My Experience/Opinion

I never heard of using a yoga towel to cover my yoga mat, but I have to say I really like the idea.  I hate when my yoga mat gets sticky from sweating.  This yoga towel has really kept it from getting overly gross and sweaty during workouts.  After I’m finished, I just throw it in the washing machine. This would be great if you take hot yoga classes for sure, which I’ve never actually done, but I know you’d work up a sweat. I love that it covers the entire mat and it doesn’t slip around when using it.  Overall, excellent product. you can find it here on Amazon or at Youphoria Yoga’s Site.  5/5 here :)

Quality/Material

This too is a high quality yoga towel.  In terms of material, this is a suede microfiber, so it feels somewhat like suede, but absorbs and dries like microfiber. This towel seems to stay drier than the other yoga towel, and it does wash well in the washing machine. I found no need to throw it in the dryer because it dries so well in the air.  It comes in several colors, but I chose grey.

My Experience/Opinion

It covers the entire yoga mat, or if you just wan tot bring this towel to class or use it alone, I think that would be fine too. I however, prefer to use it on my yoga mat.  Again, this keeps it really clean and hygienic and prevents the mat from becoming sticky and weird.  I like how quickly it dries and it keeps a dry feeling even when damp.  I have no complaints! 5/5
