This week has been interesting and in some ways I mean that sarcastically, but I don’t want to get into that now. Sometimes when my anxiety is at its worst, I like to take time in my life to enjoy the little things around me.
Because of the holiday this weekend, K and I didn’t have to work on Friday. It’s always nice to get a break from the stresses of working life, like dealing with the public and coworkers and just working in general. I appreciate that I have a job, but sometimes you need to just step away and be with your family.
K and I decided to go to a Afghani restaurant that has a lunch buffet during the week and since we usually work, we decided this would be the perfect chance to go. It was absolutely wonderful. I am loving Middle Eastern food and Indian food lately. The spices and flavors are just incredibly appetizing. I took a picture of what I ate
Totally full, we decided to take a walk downtown. We have the loveliest downtown here. I just love this building:
I also had the chance to finally walk by our local Toynbee-esque tile. If you don’t know what a Toynbee tile is, you can find info about them here. That was really cool to see
Of course, I like to end the day at home with my two loves, K and Chester. Here’s Chester looking at a bird on our balcony.
Those eyes!
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and will have a good week ahead.
Megan
